General

How do I view my reservation?

When is check in/check out time?

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Do you charge a resort fee?

Yes, our resort fee is $49 per day (+tax). Take a look at our amenities page for more a list of all the inclusions.  

Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?

Our hotel is entirely non-smoking.

How much do you charge for high-speed/WiFi Internet access?

Whether you're plugged in or not, IHG® Rewards members get complimentary high-speed access during every stay. Wireless internet is also available for $12.99 per 24 hours for non-rewards members.

Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?

Yes, located on the first floor, and equipped with a small selection of cardio equipment and free weights. Open around the clock, 24 hours, seven days a week.

Do you offer room service? What are the hours?

Yes!

Room service is available daily from 7:30 a.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Do you have a business center?

Printing and faxing services are available at the front desk.

Do you have a pool?

Yes. Our pool is open 8:00am - Sunset and we also offer beach access.

Beach hours (chair service only) is 9:30am - 6:00pm.

Do you have a spa? What are the hours?

Spa services available by appointment at our tranquil poolside Spa Cabana. Services provided by K’alma Spa. Too book an appointment, click here.

What are the hours of beach operations?

Beach hours (chair service only) is 9:30am - 6:00pm.

May I request packages to be shipped to your property? Are there any fees?

Guests may have packages shipped to the Kimpton Surfcomber with a handling and storage fee depending on the size of the box:

  • 10x10 in or smaller - $10
  • 10x10 in to 18x18 in - $15
  • 18x18 in or larger - $20

Packages arriving more than 2 days prior to guest check-in are subject to additional fees. Guests receiving packages heavier than forty (40) pounds should make arrangements with our concierge. If a package label has a name that does not match an in-house/arriving reservation or it is not claimed for fourteen (14) days it will be returned to sender.

Do you offer Breast Milk storage for parents? Can I arrange a milk-safe fridge during my stay?

As part of our On-Demand Family Fridge program, guests can have one of our dedicated Mini Me Milk Fridges delivered to their room as a complimentary service, just by asking the front desk. The fridges allow parents to store milk while staying with us, at the temperature required by the CDC.

Do you allow photo shoots and filming?

We do! All guests are welcome to take personal snapshots. All other photo sessions and filming requests must be submitted to the Marketing Department for consideration/approval and are subject to location fees and restrictions. Request forms must be emailed to sales@surfcomber.com at least 5 days prior to the requested event date.

Transportation/Directions

How do I get to the hotel?

Directions can be found on our Maps + Directions page.

Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?

No, however our concierge is happy to assist with any transportation needs. Taxis are also readily available at the airport and average cost from Miami International Airport to the hotel is approximately $35 each way.

 

What are your cross streets?

Kimpton Surfcomber is on Collins Avenue at 17th Street.

Do you have onsite parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?

We have valet parking (parking is offsite) for $52+ tax overnight.

We also have daily parking (valid for up to 6 hours) for the following rates:

  • Monday-Thursday: $35 + tax
  • Friday-Sunday: $40 + tax

Holidays and special events are subject to special event pricing.

Parking is not included in the room rate.

How do I view my reservation?

Will your rooms allow cribs/playards?

Unfortunately, we do not offer rollaways. However, some of our rooms can accommodate cribs.

I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

Please contact the customer service department at the website you used to make your reservation.

I booked on a website other than the hotel website. Is there an additional charge?

Yes. All guests who book on websites other than the hotel website is subject to a $150 incidental deposit at time of arrival per night. This is fully refundable upon inspection of your accommodations after departure. 

What is the minimum age requirement to check in to the room?

The minimum age requirement to check into the hotel is 18 years old.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

Our cancellation and deposit policy varies by rate. Reservations booked at the Best Available Rate have a 72 hour cancellation policy, one night deposit at time of booking with an early departure fee of one night's rate.

Is my ID/passport required at check in?

Yes, a valid government-issued picture ID is required for check-in.

What is the minimum age requirement to check into the room?

Special rules may apply for guests under the age of 18.  This varies by hotel so please contact the hotel for further information prior to making a reservation.

Do you have connecting rooms?

We do have connecting rooms. Connecting rooms must be requested in advance and cannot be guaranteed.

Do you have accessible rooms?

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes. An early departure fee of up to one night's room and tax may be applied if you check out before your scheduled departure date.

Do I need a Credit card to check in to the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel?

Yes.

What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge?

Kimpton Surfcomber Dining Room is open from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. 
Our Lobby Lounge is open from 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm. 
Our Poolside Bar is open from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Accounting

I have questions about my bill. Who do I call?

What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?

We accept cash at check-out and all major credit cards to establish credit. A credit card is required at check-in to authorize room fee, taxes and $150 per night for incidentals, which you can then pay by cash or a different credit card at check-out if you prefer.

Pets

How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?

Only a couple of yards from our hotel lobby.

Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?

Yes, we have pet-free rooms available.

Are pets allowed in all hotel areas and facilities?

Pets are always welcome; however the pool deck and restaurant areas are off-limits due to potential allergic reactions that may occur.

Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?

No, but our concierge may assist with locating Miami Beach pet sitting or dog walking services.

Are pets allowed around the pool?

We love pets, but only service animals are allowed by the pool. 

Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?

Yes, we happily welcome pets at our South Beach hotel, and for no extra charge and no restrictions as to type, size and number of pets. We ask all guests to sign a waiver at check-in stating that the guest is responsible for any damage caused by the animal. We also ask for the guest's cell-phone number in the event they are out and the animal is causing a disturbance.
